"My Writing Process"
Step 1: Read (Prewriting)
- Usually it takes me a long time to pick a topic. If i have to choose one I would rather write about myself or personal experiences. That makes it easier for me to start brainstorming ideas.
- When a topic is given to me I usually end up asking alot of questions about it and start researching it to help give me better ideas.
- Once I know my topic and begin researching i usually keep up with all of my resources read them all together. This helps me to actually understand everything and start thinking about different things to write about in my paper.
- Basically i look at all my resources and research and organize all the information into groups. This helps me get all of my ideas together.
- Once I put all the information into groups it helps me to figure out how I'm going to organize and set up everything i want to say in my paper.
- I just begin writing whatever come to my mind first. Then later I go and delete or add certain ideas. This helps me to not get stuck while writing and to keep the paper flowing.
- I make sure everything makes sense and that I have hit every point that I was suppose to hit in my writing.
- I read my whole paper to myself out loud to make sure everything sound right and stays on topic.
- I read it out loud to someone else to make sure everything sounds right to them.
- I put on spell check to make sure I have everything spelled correctly and i check for any other grammar mistakes.
- Let someone else read it like a parent or adult to make sure everything seems right to them.
